VULNERABLE
Maria 2 aka Fili: A sparrow's egg fallen from its nest, sitting in the open.
Maria 1 aka Pippin: As he approached, she curled up into a fetal position on her bed and cried for her mother.
Zachary aka Kili: We were being watched, from where, they didn't know. "I feel, vulnerable.." I said, hoping there were no snipers to find me.
Luke aka Merry: Stranded on a harsh desert planet, with no food, supplies, equipment or weapons.
DECEPTION
Maria 1 aka Pippin: "Of course I'm all right," she said, shifting her weight and glancing away.
Luke aka Merry: Your “friend” stabs you in the back with a knife and runs off with ticket for the cruise, and you wonder, if they were really your friend?
Zachary aka Kili: I walked around, hearing noises, scaring me after what had happened. I threw a rock and hit some glass, and some enemies came out, aiming at the glass. They were quickly gunned down.
Maria 2 aka Fili: Like the bright hot sun on a windy November day, she looked and acted bright and perfect, but wouldn't last, through and through

INDECISION
Luke aka Merry: What our next move was, I didn't know. "Whatever we do, the Illuminati will be ready for us, they see everything. What do we do?" I asked my friends.
Maria 1 aka Pippin: She leaned from right to left, her nose pressed against the glass, muttering to herself and fingering her money.
Maria 2 aka Fili: A chocolate cake with buttercream frosting? Or an ice cream cake with cream cheese frosting
Luke aka Merry: You walk into a coffee shop that you always come to, you find that your favorite pastry was discontinued and you are puzzled by choosing a substitute for it between a chocolate cupcake or cheesecake.

Zachary aka Kili: “Well, I for one think we need to hunt them down.” John said. “How? They know everything. I feel so insecure. We don’t know when they are going to strike!” I said to him, scared. He walked up to me and whispered. “Deception. We use deception to trick them.” He replied. “That’s the definition of Deception!” I said, “I just, I don’t know. We could use deception, it might work. But we need enough time to find them. Other than that, how would we deceive the all seeing Eye?” “It’s better than anything else we’ve come up with!” “I, I guess it’s our only option.”
Maria 1 aka Pippin: As he approached, she curled up into a fetal position on her bed and cried for her mother. He shook her awake.
"Are you all right?"
She stood up. "Of course I'm all right," she said, shifting her weight and glancing away. "Are you keeping your promise?"
He smiled. "You got it."
At the store, she leaned from right to left, her nose pressed against the glass. Staring at each hat, she muttered to herself and fingered her money. It was so hard to choose just one.
She was still deciding when he walked out of the store and presented her with two hats.
"You get both. No complaining."
She smiled, squeezed his arm, and thanked him before they headed home.
Luke aka Merry: Stranded on a harsh desert planet, with no food, supplies, equipment or even weapons. So, I found that my vulnerability was going to kill me, but one thing was sure I had to get supplies, food, construction equipment or I would die. I steered westward hoping that I would come upon some alien food, medical supplies, tools or even a shelter. After, walking west for 2 hours, I realized my efforts were fruitless, but going back was not option. I continued onward even though my gut was telling me to go back. As evening rolled in, I came upon some sort of ship part, component or some kinda slab of scrap metal. Then I came to the conclusion, how am I going to carry this need around. I knew I needed to find some sort of backpack or carrying attire but I didn’t see the positives in leaving a salvageable piece of scrap behind in an open desert where anyone could stumble upon it.
Maria 2 aka Fili: Something about her was off. She smiled as if the world had pulled the rug out from beneath her feet before she’d planned to fly, and her hands moved with a feathery restlessness, delicately picking chocolate covered strawberries from the plate as it was passed. Out of all the finery we sat in she was the finest.
But something was off.
Her face was white, the skin pulled almost too tightly across her cheeks, and a rosy blush rode her temples to her hairline. Her satin cream dress held ripples of crimson fabric somewhere in their folds, and her sleeves were made of silver lace. Through the layers of makeup and fashion her smile was scared. But in her fright was a cold, unflinching silkiness. A single look from her would silence a snitch, a simple smile would calm a rowdy hall full of people.

Zachary aka Kili: “So, they’ve discovered the death of their friends. And they think they can defeat me, at least, this John character does. I’ve broken most of their spirits, and it hasn’t even been a full day! These guys are going to be easy to defeat. Soldier!” “Yes, sir?” “Prepare the Devil Squad. We’re going to use them soon.” “Yes, sir.” The leader of the Illuminati put on a helmet that sent him into a Virtual Reality. It was one of his prized inventions. It allowed him to hack top notch US security in 15 minutes. As he floated through his virtual land, the codes floated all around him, as he added things, deleted things, and coded new programs comepletely!
Maria 1 aka Pippin: At first, darkness. I lost my bearings as I floated about in the abyss of blackness.
And then I was blinded by millions of lights lining the walls--white, blue, red, and green lights. They lit up in a wave and I saw that I was in a vast enclosed chamber. Surrounded on all sides by these tiny lights.
A control panel of sorts? But how had I gotten here?
I jumped when a heavy thud echoed overhead. They were coming. My breath fogged the inside of my helmet as I looked around in a wild search for an exit.
There it was, far, far below me. With no gravity, I'd have to climb down there. I grasped at the walls with my hands and feet and pulled myself with all my strength. The space suit added at least twenty more pounds to my normal weight, and it wasn't long before I broke a sweat.
But wait. I stopped. What if they expected me to go out that way?
I let go and began drifting up again. I climbed in the opposite direction until I was near the ceiling.
And then I heard another thud.
Maria 2 aka Fili: Darkness. The one thing he had refused to give himself to these past few days. His arms rose next to his helmet, and his eyes strayed again to the fading light panels to his left. He was a hopeful man, but three weeks in almost complete darkness and utter silence deals a heavy blow, even to the optimistically blessed. The sound of his breathing, in and out, in and out, went through the respirator and pumped back into the helmet. His foot trailed away, and lifted him in a slow backwards circle. He had lost the call of gravity. The receivers were broken, and the lights were dying; they had been before he was trapped in there. No one could hear him, no one could see him, and the ship was very likely drifting into the cold expanses of space, just like him.

Zachary aka Kili: We started our journey, to find the Illuminati. First stop, a local bar that was known to have connections with the Illuminati. “Hello, we are investigators from the CIA. We’d like to ask you a few questions.” Zachariah translated for us. “He said that you’re welcome to come in.” He led us to a room in the back. “Here,” he said. After we went in, he quickly slammed the door behind us. Red gasses started coming in from the vents. “This is the Devil Squad, and this is also your doom!” A muffled voice said from the vent. I felt dizzy, and suddenly started laughing. There was only a small amount of sun in the room, from a little 1 foot by 1 foot window. I stumbled around, as did everyone else. “I, ha ha, I taste sunshine!” John said, stumbling to the floor as he laughed. I looked up to the window, and pulled out my pistol. I shot it, and the glass shattered. I helped John up, and got him out through the window. I helped everyone out, one by one, and finally I was pulled out.
Maria 2 aka Fili: Tea took a piece of cotton candy and put it in her mouth, and took a bite out of her ice cream cone.
“This tastes like sunshine!” she said around her mouthful, and shoved the bag of pink fluff towards me.
I smiled. “No thank you. I like my teeth right where they are.”
Tea rolled her eyes and took another bite of black cherry ice cream.
“Don’t blame me when you don’t get a scholarship to the college of your choice because you didn’t try new things,” she huffed, holding her cone righteously.
“Is that even a thing?” I stifled a laugh. If it was then Tea would get it, hands down and cards unplayed.
Tea glared sideways at me. “Um, yes. It is.”
I grinned. “Don’t lie to me.”
“Okay, so I lied.”
She chomped indignantly on the cake cone, like this wasn’t a big deal and I was just making it one.
“You never realized it, did you? You’re a terrible liar.” I smiled at her.
She scowled at me. “Actually, I was the finest liar in the third grade,” she replied icily.
Maria 1 aka Pippin: Charlotte opened her eyes and gaped at me. "This tastes like sunshine!"
I smiled. "Good, isn't it?" I handed her the spoon and let her dig in. "I had papaya ice cream once before, and I knew you'd love it."
When I looked over again, she had eaten it all and was hungrily scraping the bowl. "Careful," I said, "you'll get a brain freeze."
"A what?" she said through her stuffed mouth. Then her face contorted. "I see."
She swallowed. "How odd."
Luke aka Merry: “This taste like sunshine?” She said.
“That’s impossible, sunshine has no taste” I said.
“Well have an imagination” She said.
“Nah” I said. “You taste like sunshine”
“Okay, we’ll agree to disagree” She said.

A case of mistaken identity: Someone mistakes your character for an important cultural icon, a known villain, a spy, or someone from their past. Shenanigans ensue...
Zachary aka Kili:A little girl riding a bike rode by us. She stopped and said to me. “Are you James Bond?” “Excuse me?” I replied. “You know, Bond, James Bond?” “Now why would you think I’m a spy?” I asked. “Because you’re wearing that suit, and it’s like, 40 degrees out. You also have a gun.” “I was stumped at what she said. “40 degrees out?” I thought to myself, “Oh yeah, Celsius.” She rode off, and I helped up my friends. “You guys okay?” “Lesson learned…” John said “Don’t trust people suspected to be with the Illuminati. And ESPECIALLY, don’t go to the back.”
Maria 1 aka Pippin: I was sitting on the swing which hung from the huge dying oak behind the school. It was usually deserted, due to the safety hazard, so I would come here to think.
A woman I didn't recognize strolled up to me. "Well, Hannah," she breathed in that simpering way only middle-aged women can.
I gave her a puzzled look. One generally does when addressed by a Christian name which isn't one's own. She ignored the look, however.
"My, how you've grown, Hannah dear. I remember when you were this high--" (illustrated by placing a hand near to the ground)-- "how have you been? Heavens, dear, you don't look well. I do hope you're getting enough fresh air."
It crossed my mind that it might be interesting to impersonate this Hannah, whoever she was. But that would never work. My accent would give me away.
So I kept my mouth shut and let her chatter wash over me as I radiated a polite smile.
After I had counted to 100 three times over, she finally seemed to be losing steam.
I slid off the swing.
"Good morning, ma'am," I said with a little curtsey. "Would you like me to help you find this Hannah you're looking for?" Cue the innocent head-tilt, and the effect was complete.
It's the closest I'd come to laughing for months.
Maria 2 aka Fili: I heard a gasp behind us, and faster than I could’ve said “What?” someone squealed “Shakira!”
Tea turned around, a smile sculpting her face as she confronted the stranger, a short girl with short black hair and an inhuman bounce in her step.
“I knew I’d see you somewhere!” the girl shrieked, and I wondered how old she was.
“I’m no-” Tea’s eyes glimmered, and her smile broadened. “I can’t sing or sign anything, but do you want to be friends?”
No. Please no. If that was a twelve-year-old with too much time on her hands then I would rather see myself to my own grave. If she was older then hopefully she would realize Tea wasn’t Shakita or whatever.
The girl grabbed Tea’s outstretched hands, hopping up and down more excitedly than a fish teased bobber. “Yes!”
I covered my ears and muttered “I’ll see you later.”
Luke aka Merry: “You look vaguely familiar, but I can’t put my finger on it” He said.
I just nodded to him and I continued to my book. As the minutes past, the plane’s into intercom announced that we would be landing soon.
“Now I remember, you where that girl I used date in high school and then hooked up my best friend” He said.
“Yeah, hi” I said.
“And by the way, what was so much better about James than me????” He exclaimed.
“Can we please talk about this on the ground, please?” I said, politely.
“No, I want to know now!” He shouted. “And you owe me a date”
“Well, if you talk to James, you would know that we’re…” I said.
“Married” I said, holding my right hand.

The place that your character was just traveling toward--whether it was the kitchen, the school, or another city--suddenly no longer exists.
Zachary aka Kili: We came back around to the bar, and came in, pistols drawn, and spoke to the man again. “You’re coming with us.” I said, putting hand cuffs on him. We started driving to the city where the new base had just finished being built. We drove for about 20 minutes, until we finally came to the new city. Well, what was left. “What the Heckler and Koch happened?!?” I asked, driving over the ruble of the buildings that once stood there. “This couldn’t have been the Illuminati, could it?” The ground was levelled, until we got deeper into the ruble of the city. There were craters all around. “This is bigger than anything they’ve done before…” John said. “This is bigger than just a terrorist group, this is all out war.” I said. I searched through the ruble, where the base used to be. On one wall that was mostly complete, there was a triangle made of severed limbs. Then, there was a human eye right in the middle of the triangle. Zachariah started to throw up, which was not surprising. I had never seen something like this before.
Maria 2 aka Fili: That was strange. Alan could’ve sworn he’d seen the barber shop right between the grocer's and the bar on his way to the town square. He scratched his head, looking around for someone to ask. Hadn’t it been there?
With a sigh he turned back to his buggy. The next nearest barber was ten miles away, and they didn’t serve complimentary cocktails. Oh well. He needed his hair cut before Middie got home. She would give him a brutal tongue lashing if she saw the state he was in now, creamy brown curls reaching almost to his shoulders.
Maria 1 aka Pippin: Whitney poked her head out of her blanket pile in the back seat. Stifling a yawn, she looked out the window and saw that they were pulled over.
"What's up?" she asked.
Her father looked up from the map he was poring over. "Where were we going again?"
She rolled her eyes. "Nashville, Dad."
"Yeah, but--" he shoved the map into her hands-- "look at this map of Tennessee."
Whitney did so, and her brow furrowed. The spot where she had expected Nashville to be was just a network of highways. "Well, obviously this map is wrong. Tampered with." She burrowed back into her blanket pile.
The next time she woke, it was dark out. Her dad was speaking. "Honey, we should be there by now. But look."
She looked.
Road, trees, hills, sky. Nothing more. Not even a lowly gas station.
"Well, this is weird," she said.
"Yeah, kinda."
Luke aka Merry: We continued driving to New York, to see the sights. As near the city, we were awe stuck. The city was on fire, unknown starships were flying above the city, a world war II looking tanks were driving throughout the city, and unknown modern soldiers march throughout the city leading civilians into improvised concentration camps.
“Turn around” She said, repeatedly in panic.
I made a K-turn and drove away. As we drove away, I tuned on the radio.
“In the name of his Imperial Majesty, the Imperial Sovereign. We are the Rizisan Empire, and demand the surrender of your planet and all your planet’s industries. If not it shall cost your every breath on this pitiful excuse of a planet. You have been warned. For the Imperial Sovereignty and the Empire”
