Skype Guidelines
We want everyone to have a fun time during the Skype meetings and to enjoy being a part of the writing group. As the meetings have progressed and we’ve seen how things are working we thought it would be a good idea to have a few set guidelines that apply to the weekly meetings. Thank you for your cooperation!
1-Do not come on mic unless you have first requested to come on mic in the chat and permission has been granted by one of the people in charge.
2-Do not post pictures in the chat unless you have first requested permission to do so in the chat box and permission has been granted.
3-If you have questions post it in the chat or request to come on mic in the chat.
4-Only one additional person on mic at a time. (Julia and Sabrina will be on mic off and on as we are the “management”, only one additional person can come on mic at a time, so three people on mic max and try to wait your turn to speak while you are on the mic.)
5-Debates (Marvel or any other subject) need to be left for private conversations outside of the meeting or after the meeting has been adjourned.
6-When you have completed an exercise, put a (sun) emote in the chat to alert the people in charge that you are finished.
7-After you have read an exercise you have completed post it in the chat so it can be added to the website recaps.
8-Have fun!
*Due to Julia having to use her phone at college now she cannot see the chat box, so if she says otherwise during the meetings the rules are void for those few minutes ;) excepting the last one of course :P always have fun that’s our first priority.

Writer's Prayer
Open my mind, Lord. Grant me the talent to write with clarity and style, so my words go down rich and smooth, like fine wine, and leave my reader thirsty for more.
Open my heart, Lord. Grant me sensitivity to understand my characters - their hopes, their wants, their dreams - and help me to confer that empathy to my reader.
Open my soul, Lord, so that I may be a channel to wisdom and creativity from beyond my Self. Stoke my imagination with vivid imagery and vibrant perception.
But most of all, Lord, help me to know the Truth, so my fiction is more honest than actuality and reaches into the depths of my reader's soul.
Wrap these gifts with opportunity, perseverance, and the strength to resist those who insist it can't be done.
Amen.
